Perhaps some people will go to a moon for a holiday, and some people may live under the sea and in space. Beside, probably there'll be more educational program on the Internet. And therefore, students will be able to study at home instead of go to school every day. What's more, maybe in the future each family will have a robot, that will be able to do whatever it is told, such as going to shopping, doing housework and so on.

With the breakthrough of technology, I believe that their life will certainly become easier, happy and more colorful.

When I was five or six years oldI remember watching TV and seeing other children suffer in other parts of the world. I would say to myself“When I grow up, when I can get richI will save kids all over the world.”

At 17I started my career here in America, and by the age of 18, I started my first charity( 慈善) organization. I went on to team up with other organizations in the following years, and met, helped, and even lost some of the most beautiful souls, from six-year-old Jasmina Anema who passed away in 2010 from leukemia(白血病), and whose story inspired thousands to volunteer as donors, to my grandmother, who lost her battle with cancer in 2012, and her death is the very reason and the driving force behind the Clara Lionel Foundation(CLF). We're all human. And we all just want a chance: a chance at life, a chance in education, a chance at a future, really. And at CLF, our mission is to impact as many lives as possible, but it starts with just one.

People make it seem too hard to do charity work. The truth is, you don't have to be rich to help others. You don't need to be famous. You don't even have to be college educated. But it starts with your neighbor, the person right next to you, the person sitting next to you in classthe kid down the block in your neighborhood. You just do whatever you can to help in any way that you can. And today, I want to challenge each of you to make a decision to help one person, one organization, one situation that touches your heart. My grandmother always used to say. “If you've got a dollar, there's plenty to share.”

1.What did the author want to do at a young age?

A. Watch TV. B. Grow up quickly.

Let us begin by saying what causes our dreams. Our dreams do not come from another world. They are not messages from some outside source. They are not a look into the future, either.

All our dreams have something to do with our feelings, fears, longings, wishes, needs and memories. If a person is hungry, or tired, or cold, his dreams may include a feeling of this kind. If the covers on your body, such as a quilt or a blanket, have slipped off your bed, you may dream that you are sleeping on ice or in snow. The material for the dream you will have tonight is likely to come from the experience you have today.

So the subject of your dream usually comes from something that has effect on you while you are sleepingfeeling of cold, a noise, a discomfort, etc. and it may also use your past experiences and the wishes and the interests you have now. This is why children are likely to dream of fairies, older children of school examinations, hungry people of food, homesick soldiers of their families and prisoners of freedom.

To show you how this is happening while you are asleep and how your needs and wishes can all be joined together in a dream, here is the story of the experiment. A man was asleep and the back of his hand was rubbed with a piece of absorbed cotton. He would dream he was in hospital and his charming girlfriend was visiting him, sitting on the bed and feeling his hand gently!

There are some scientists who have made a special study of why we dream, what we dream and what those dreams mean. Their explanation of dreams, though a bit reasonable, is not accepted by everyone but it offers an interesting approach to the problem. They believe that dreams are mostly expressions of wishes that did not come true. In other words dreaming is a way of having your wishes carried out.

1.From the passage we know that our dreams_____.

A. are imagination of our daily life

B. are man’s curious look into the future

C. have nothing to do with our feelings

D. are to some degree connected with our feelings

2.In your dream when you feel like eating something it indicates(暗示)that______.

A. you are in a state of being cold

B. you are in a state of being tired

C. you are in a state of hunger

D. you should have had your dinner that day

3.Older children often dream of examinations probably because_______.

A. they are interested in exams

B. they are often worried about their studies

C. they hope for better life

D. they show much interest in their studies

4.Some scientists’ explanation of dreams _______.

B. gives an exact description of our life

C. provides us with information of dreams

D. is of no use for us
