One day the sun and the wind had a quarrel(争吵).The sun said he was stronger than the wind. And the wind said he was stronger than the sun. Just then a man was walking under them, with a hat and a coat on. The sun said, “Let’s see who can make the man take off (脱下)his hat and coat. If you can do that more quickly than I, then you are the stronger.”

“All right,” said the wind, “I’ll try first.” So the wind began to blow. (2)But the harder he blew(吹) , the tighter(紧的)the man held his hat and coat. The wind could not make him take them off. Then the sun tried. It shone (照耀) quietly. Soon the man (3)_____  _____ his hat and wiped(擦) his forehead. The sun began to shine a little brighter, and the man took off his coat. It shone harder still, and the man began to take off his shirt. Then the wind said to the sun, “That’s enough. You are stronger than I.”

What did the sun say to the wind when they saw a man with a hat and a coat on?_________________________________________________________________

________________________________________

3.在(3)句的空白处填入适当的词组使句意完整、上下文通顺:___________  __________

If you can make the man take them off  faster than  I._______________________________________________________________

1.“Let’s see who can make the man take off his hat and coat. If you can do that more quickly than I, then you are the stronger.” 2. 3.took off 4.If you can do that more quickly than I. 5.One day the sun and the wind had a quarrel(争吵). The sun said, “Let’s see who can make the man take off his hat and coat. If you can do that more quickly than I, then you are the stronger.” 2.2】翻译时应注意the harder, the tighter是“the+比较级,the +比较级”的形式,表示“越……,就越……”。 故填took off。 One day the sun and the wind had a quarrel(争吵)。
