The topic of my speech today is “How to express thanks”.
A. Keep in Touch
You can keep in touch with your friends in many ways. You can call them. You can send letters or e-mails to them. You can even use a website like Facebook to keep in touch with them.
B. Touch Luck
"Touch Luck" is used when you feel sympathy (同情) about something bad that has happened to someone. But it is also used when you don't have any sympathy for someone's problems.
C. Touch Screen
You can find touch screens everywhere now. They are fun and easy to use! You touch the screen to choose what you want. Many mobile phones and music players have touch screens. Many ATMs have them, too. You can also use them to buy tickets.
D. Touchdown
When you watch an American football game, you will hear the word "touchdown". A touchdown happens when a player carries the ball across the other team's goal (球门) line. When a player makes a touchdown, he scores (得分) six points for his team!
E. The Midas Touch
Midas was a king in an old Greek story. He loved money very much! He wished that everything he touched would turn to gold. His wish came true. Everything he touched-His furniture, his food, and even his daughter-turned to gold.

One day, a poor boy was sending newspapers door to door. He was so hungry 1. he decided to beg (乞求)for a meal at the next house. The eye-recognition(眼睛识别) program is already being tested in shops and banks in the USA, Britain and France. Soon, this technology(技术) will change all other ways of finding out who people are.
However, scientists are working on other systems. Machines will soon be able to know you from the shape of your face or hands or even your smell! We already have machines that can tell who you are from your voice or the mark made by your fingers.
Eye-recognition is better than other kinds because your eyes don’t change as you get older, or get dirty like hands or fingers. And even twins have different eyes, so the program can be up to 94％ correct, depending on how good the technology is. Some programs may only be right 51％ of the time. In Britain, it was found that 91％ of people who had tried it said that they liked the idea of eye-recognition.
In the future your computer will be looking at you in the eye. So smile!
