Students whose weight is more than it should be are asked to join the school health club and take part in special activities to help them a couple of kilograms. During breaks they do not go to the canteen (餐厅) to eat snacks, to the school hall for some exercise. The school also talks to their parents to see if they can plan a healthier diet for the children. Sometimes the parents it is their cooking that is causing the problem and then it is easy to persuade (说服) them to change. Some children find it to lose weight, but they are told not to give up easily. A big is made to interest them in sport. Fun and games are used to attract the students to running and jumping. One school gives its students a smart student card which they can use to buy books and food. Parents can a list of the food the child is eating and discuss it at home. Fitness classes may be held on Saturdays for those who need them. Parents come and help with ball games and races.
Schools to allow some types of food like French fries(薯条). Young people, , often like junk food and use their pocket money on the way home to buy hamburgers and pizza.
