Mr. Dawson was an old man with a bad temper(脾气). And everyone in town knew it. Kids were afraid to go into his yard to pick apples.

Theodor Seuss Geisel was born in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1904. He was famous because of the books he wrote for children. They have funny words, pictures, and social opinion（观点）.
