Jackie Chan came into this world in 1954, the son of a poor couple who went to Hong Kong from Shandong, China. When he was born, his parents didn't have enough money to pay the hospital and couldn't take him, their only child, home right now. They tried their best to save money and at last they were able to take Jackie home. They named him Chan Kongsang, which means "born in Hong Kong", to celebrate their safe arrival in Hong Kong.
The family lived in the French Embassy (大使馆) where Jackie's father worked as a cook and his mother a housekeeper. Jackie didn't like the school and left after finishing Grade One.

We use our smart phones to carry out many tasks every day. Many of us have become so reliant on them. However, it is bad for our eyes and unhealthy to use too much phone.
A study shows that smart phone owners usually start to use their phones early in the morning. They check personal emails and Wechat. And before they get out of bed, many people often check the weather, read the news, and send a message or two to friends. After getting up, they often take photos of food, themselves, and even whatever they can see with their phones. They share their photos with their friends. The research finds that users pick up their phones more than l,500 times to do different tasks in an average(通常的) week. Children today would rather (宁愿) read, do housework or even do homework than play outside--- and they get out half as much as their parents did when they were young.
According to a UK study, those growing up during the 1970s and 1980s enjoying more than two hours of outdoor activities each weekday, and nine hours on weekends—whatever the weather is. But their children play outside for just over one hour each weekday and fewer than five hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
So, the UK started an activity to encourage children to give up 30 minutes of screen time a day to play outdoors.
The Wild Network, born on September 25, 2013, is joined by more than 300 organizations large and small. It tries to attract (吸引) children away from television and computer screen and into woods(树林) and parks.
