Charles Dickens was born in one of the small towns in England.
When Dickens was nine years old, his father found a job in London and the family moved there. Later on his father was put in to prison(监狱)for owing(负债). His mother could not supply(供应) enough food to him and his younger brothers and sisters. He had to do something for his family, so he could not go to school.
Only until his father was out of prison, Charles could go to school. At that time he was already twelve. But he did not finish school. Two years later he began to work in a factory.

Perhaps you’ve had such experiences like these. Most people have. But most of them haven’t realized that they have a memory problem. Neither do they know a simple but important fact: Memorycan be improved. If you’ll just accept that， the following will show you how.
First， relax. If you are over worried about remembering something， you’ll forget it. Many students ask for advice about improving their English. There are several basic questions.
The first question is about real English. Li Hao from Hubei wrote, “I enjoy watching English films and listening to real English songs. But it takes a long time. What do you think?”
This is a great way to learn English! Talk about the film or song with your friends, and guess the meaning of the new words. Just enjoy yourself!
