Chinese women’s volleyball team once achieved great honor in the last century, their spirit of teamwork and never giving up inspired(鼓舞) so many people. But during the last decade(十年), as the old volleyball players retired and the new ones were not strong enough, the team met too many difficulties. Some people even doubt the abilities of the coach and players. While winning an important match in Rio announced their return.

Chinese women’s volleyball team had a very important match against Brazil team in the Rio Olympic Games. The hope to win was very little, because Brazil team was so strong, they were the champion of last two Olympic Games and Chinese team only won one match for the last 18 records. What’s more, Brazil team was the host this year, so almost all the audiences(观众) supported Brazil team.

It seemed to win the match was not possible for the Chinese team, but the girls were very strong and insisted (坚持)to fight for the last minute. At the beginning, they lost the first game, even the second one. However, with the encouragement from Coach Lang, the tough Chinese girls did not give up, instead, they fought one point by one point. Especially for the last two points, they were so brave and finally won the match with the score 3-2. All of the audiences whoever in the gym or in front of the TV cheered up, some of them turned into tears because of the hard success.
