We all know that recycling rubbish is very important. But sometimes it is not so convenient (方便的) when we can’t find a recycling bin anywhere.
Now a team of middle school students from North Dakota, US has solved that problem by designing(设计)the Recycling Bin app (应用程序).
This app encourages people to recycle. It provides users with a map of local recycling centres, and it allows them to save locations as favourites. Besides, this app also reminds users to recycle.
The group of nine sixth-graders is from STEM Centre Middle School. They came up with the idea as part of a school project for the Verizon Innovative App Challenge. Their school provided professional app training. It held a contest and gave Samsung tablets (三星平板电脑) as prizes.
The contest aims to develop interest in science, technology, engineering and Maths. In this contest, students present an app design that could solve a problem in their school or community. The nine students came up with the idea for the Recycling Bin when they saw a need for more recycling.
“We thought that this would really help a lot of people,” Jaden Hilkemann, 12, told Time For Kids.
They kept their design simple so that anyone could use it. Now the free Recycling Bin app has been put into use in the Google Play app store for Android phones or tablets.
“I was so excited when it showed up at the app store,” Seralyn Blake, 12, said. “A lot of people downloaded the app. It was pretty cool.”

下面文章中有五处需要添加小标题。请从以下选项(A、B、C、D、E 和 F)中选出符合各段意思的小标题。选项中有一项是多余选项。
A. Are there ways to earn the money?
B. How much do you really want it?
C. Do you still want it a week later?
D. How much does it cost?
E.Do you have enough money?
F.Can you get it cheaper?
Money makes the world go around, yet the best things in life are free. A penny saved is a penny earned, but you get what you pay for.You probably have your own ideas about spending money. Now it is a great time to learn how to spend money wisely.
When, you are considering buying something you want, run through this checklist first.
1.
Seeing a $25(172 yuan) gum ball machine,Peter wanted it.But after thinking about it, he decided that it would be exciting only for a day or two."Besides,it's not possible for me to chew that much gum,"he said wisely.
2.
If the thing passes the "really-wanting-it" test, try to wait for some time(maybe some days or a week)to see how strong the desire is.Perhaps at that time, you don’t want it any longer. This strategy works for grown-ups, too!
3.
After the first two steps,Peter found he really wanted a toy ship, but it cost $50.He had $22 in his pocket and gets $l.50 a week to spend. His mother helped him work out how many weeks he would need to save to get the ships:19.
4.
Peter had a lot of things to do to help his family. He could water the flowers,do the dishes or walk the dog. Finally,he decided to wash the downstairs windows at a dollar each.So he got $10 for himself.and sparkling (闪亮的) sunlight for the rest of the family.
5.
After deciding to buy it,it is necessary for you to look for less expensive ways to buy it: search for what you want on the internet or in shops and flea markets. Sometimes you can find the same thing at a much lower price.
If these suggestions work well, they can save you a lot of money. You will be a really smart shopper.

“Budda(佛)-like youngsters” has become the buzzwords online overnight. What is “Budda-like”?Actually,it has nothing to do with Buddhism. It's only an attitude towards life. It means one should neither be pleased by outside gains nor be saddened by personal losses. Besides, it guides a lifestyle that “it's fine to have something or not.”
The youngsters are in their 20s. Although they haven’t developed themselves into the “God” , they've learned how to live a comfortable life. We are living at a fast-developing time. If we have a strong sense of competitions, we will be overtaken in grades, education backgrounds, scores, jobs and will be overtaken in our kids grades, education backgrounds, and jobs... “Budda-like” youngsters keep a casual and calm attitude towards life and get rid of the so-called “fear”. It's not that they refuse to make progress but that the pain from efforts overwhelms (压倒) the joy from gain. So, they stop considering struggle (奋 斗) as the most important part or even the only aim in life as their parents did. Gradually, “Budda-like” becomes the weapon (武器)for the youngsters to fight against the society that doesn’t belong to them.
In fact, every generation has their own culture. It's hard to tell whether it is good or bad. People born at special time create their own culture. We don’t have to worry about it.

3.Why do some post-90s become the Budda-like youngsters?
A.Because they want to get the joy form the gain
