I live in Porto. It is a city in the north of Portugal (葡萄牙). It’s the second biggest city in Portugal.
It’s a beautiful city, and it’s great for walking around. There are lots of narrow streets, and it has many churches, museums, and markets. There’s a place called Foz. There are a lot of outdoor restaurants in Foz—people go there at the weekend to sit in the sun, drink coffee, and watch the Atlantic (大西洋).
The weather is very different from the south of Portugal. The winter can be very wet,and it sometimes rains for days. The summer is wonderful—it’ s sunny but not usually too hot,and it’s great for going to the mountains or the beach.
Porto is famous for port wine. The biggest interesting place in Porto is probably the river because there are some beautiful bridges. One of the bridges is designed by Eiffel, and lots of people go on boat trips on the rivers. There’s a festival in the sixth month called Sao Joao every year. Everybody have fun on this day.
The people here are friendly. It’s a working city and it has a real sense of history, and that’s the main reason why I like living here so much.

Dear classmates,
Safety is very important. Our government and school especially pay attention to teenage safety. It helps us gain a lot of knowledge of safety. And I have learned a lot from it. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
All in all, we must realize the danger around us and treasure our lives. Safety is always the first priority.
Thank you!
填词
Once a circle lost a piece of its own. The circle wanted to be whole, so it went around, looking for its m1. piece. But because it was not complete , it could only roll (滚) very slowly. Sometimes we are perfect when we lose some thing. A man who o8. everything is poor in some ways. He will never have hopes, dreams or something better. He will never know some one loves him or someone is giving him something he has always wanted or never had.
We couldn't be perfect. But we must be brave e9. to love, strong enough to forgive, kind enough to s10. happiness with others and clever enough to know there is enough love around us and then we can always have a wonderful time in our life.
“Listen!” Mr. Lee said seriously at the beginning of his first class, “I will put a lie into each of my classes. Your job is to try and catch me in the Lie of the Day.”
That was really a clever way to fix our attention on the dry and boring subject — geography. Then in the following weeks, we didn't let off every single word of what he was saying in class and challenged(质疑)his lectures. When his class ended with nobody seeing through the lie, Mr. Lee would say, “Ah ha! Each of you has a lie in your notes. Discuss among yourselves what it might be, and I will tell you at the end of this term.”
Mr. Lee’s special style of teaching worked. All of us reviewed and discussed about our notes actively.
One Monday at the end of the term, Mr. Lee listened carefully to what we were questioning for almost ten minutes. Then he finally said, “Do you still remember the first lesson how I said that every lecture has a lie?”
Confused, we said yes.
"Well, that was a real big lie. In fact, all the lectures I’ve given before are completely true. But I am glad you worked so hard. Move on ...”
Hearing this, all eyes in the classroom went wide.
While my knowledge of geography has been forgotten over time, the lessons have stayed with me. "Experts" can be wrong and say things that sound right, so build a habit of evaluating (评估)new information and check it against things you already accept as a fact.
