Nowadays, many young people enjoy communicating with others online. They do this through social networking websites. However, the internet may be a dangerous place, and these young people may not even realize it.

The key to being safe online is to keep certain pieces of information private. If you do any banking online, for example, it is important to note that your date of birth may be used by banks to identify (识别)you. Banks need to know your ID number and your address as well, but to check your identity, they might ask you for your date of birth. If a criminal were to gain access to(进入) your account(账号) at a bank, the one thing that he would not have would be your birth date. These days, however, a lot of people put their dates of birth on social networking websites so that their friends will wish them a happy birthday. Unluckily, doing so could end up getting them into trouble.

Another way people share too much information is by mentioning inappropriate (不合适的)things that they have done. For employers who worry about the reputation (声望)of their company, they would prefer not to see photos publicly posted of their employees doing anything inappropriate. However, many young people today enjoy gaining attention by posting some pictures that may not be completely acceptable on the internet.

So the key to being safe online is to limit what you share. Remember that the whole world can see it if you post your private information online.

A.Avoiding doing banking online B.Checking your identity regularly.

Good evening, parents, grandparents, uncles and friends!

Thank you all for coming on this very special day for every student on this stage. I know how proud you must be. As we have grown over the years, there are many steps and stages we all have gone through. From learning our shapes and colors, to getting our first progress in middle school, or how we explained to our parents why we skipped school (逃课) because the headmaster called home. Lastly, I want to give some advice to all my classmates! The end of junior high school is the beginning of a new life.
