One of my favorite books--A Midsummer Night' s Dream我最爱的书之--《仲夏夜之梦》
A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of Shakespeare's greatest comedies. I enjoyed reading the book. It made me laugh a lot. The characters are very fascinating.
In the story, there are two parallel(平行的)worlds. One is the human world, and the other is the fairy world. Hermia, Helena, Lysander and Demetrius are all human beings. Oberon and Titania are the king and queen of the fairy world. The two worlds are connected and the whole story develops all because of a trick played by Oberon.
Hermia is my favorite character in this story. She is independent and has the courage to fight for her own choices. Her father suggests she marry Demetrius. but she doesn't love Demetrius. Instead, she loves Lysander and decides to run away with him. Later, because of a trick played by the fairy king, Lysander falls in love with Helena. Hermia feels hurt, but she doesn't give up. Her determination leads to the story’s happy ending.
I also love Oberon, the fairy king, very much. He loves playing tricks. He quarrels a lot with Titania because of his jealousy. When he loses to the queen, he plays a trick on her. In many other stories I have read, a king is always serious and powerful. Oberon, however, is very different. He acts like a child!
In A Midsummer Night's Dream, I saw humanity. I found different personalities. That is why I think the book is so interesting. The story shows us what life is like in an imaginative and humorous way.

Ed Dohring, a doctor from Arizona, had dreamed his whole life of reaching the top of Mount Qomolangma(珠穆朗玛峰). But when he succeeded a few days ago, he was surprised by what he saw.
Climbers were pushing and moving to take selfies(自拍). The summit(顶峰), which is about the size of two ping-pong tables, was filled with 15 or 20 people. To get up there, he had to wait hours in a line, chest to chest, on an icy mountain.
He even had to walk across the body of a woman who had just died.
“It was very terrible, "he said by telephone from Nepal, where he was resting in a hotel room. " It was like a zoo.”
This has been one of the most dangerous climbing seasons on Mount Qomolangma, with at least 10 deaths. And some seem to be avoidable. Climbers themselves are often so driven to finish their goal that they may keep going even if they see the dangers.
Sometimes these trips go very wrong.
From interviews with several climbers, it seems that as the groups get closer to the summit, the pressure increases.
“A lot of people could only worry about themselves and nobody thinks about those who are in danger, "Ms Deryan said.“It is a question of ethics(道德)," she added.“You find out that if you help, you are going to die.”
