例文: Dear Xiaomao, I feel very delighted when hearing your coming! Long time no see, I miss you very much. I have been here for one year. I live in London and spend lots of time learning knowledge. In addition, I take part in all kinds of school activities. With the help of my classmates, I have made great progress. In order to help you get used to the new life here, I suggest that you should practise your oral English first, which can help you communicate with the others easily. Before you come here, you can find something about England, for example, the eating habit and the culture. And studying here is really hard, you must be ready to take on the challenge. I am looking forward to seeing you here. Yours, Linda 【解析】 1.题干解读:该题目是书信类书面表达,根据题目要求补充信件内容,主要包含自己在英国的情况和对小毛的建议。

Stamps help connect us with others. They have played an important role in people's lives for a long time.

Stamps pay for a letter to get where it needs to be. When there were no stamps, people did not pay for the letters they sent, but instead they paid for the letters they received. The first stamp ever made is called Penny Black. It is a British stamp made in 1840 with a picture of Queen Victoria on it. The number of people who send letters and use stamps has gone down. But stamp collection is still one of the world' s most popular hobbies. There are even stamp clubs to help people find new stamps to add to their collections.
