Giving red packets, or hongbao, during the Spring Festival is a Chinese tradition. Usually, people put money in red envelopes(信封)and give them to their friends and relatives. 1.They think the money inside can bring good luck. Children can always get red packets from their parents, grandparents and other relatives during the Spring Festival. 2.这是他们最幸福的时候。
3.However, the tradition is changing now. At important festivals, people send red packets on WeChat, QQ and Alipay to their family members and friends even if they are far away.
Some people like the electronic red packet because it is fast. Also, it makes people closer to each other. You can send electronic red packets to others no matter how far they are. People don't care how much money you give them. 4.What they care is how much you care about them. What's more, the electronic red packet brings lots of fun to people. People can send it anywhere at any time.
5.我喜欢电子红包。But I think traditional red packets are better. I like to keep the best wishes from my parents and relatives in those red envelopes.

Wild animals are our friends, but many of them are getting fewer and fewer. We should try to protect them. The four animals below are now in danger.
Tibetan Antelopes
Tibetan antelopes(藏羚羊)mainly feed on grass. They are usually found in groups of about 20. They are killed for their wool, which is warm, soft and fine and can be made into expensive clothes. The number of them is dropping year by year. There are less than 75, 000 Tibetan antelopes left in the world.
Golden Monkeys
Golden monkeys are mainly found in Sichuan, Gansu, and Shaanxi provinces. Golden monkeys have golden-orange fur(皮毛). They move around in the daytime. They feed on fruits and young leaves of bamboos. But people are destroying the environment where they live. Trees and bamboos are disappearing, so golden monkeys have less and less to eat.
Elephants
Elephants are very big and strong. They are bigger than any other animals on land. They have poor eyesight, but very good hearing and smell. They can lift heavy things and break down branches with their trunk(象鼻). Now, there are very few elephants in the world. The number of them is becoming smaller and smaller because their living areas are used for farming. Also, people hunt them for their tusks.
Wolves
Wolves are not very big. They have grey fur. Wolves have very good eyesight, hearing and smell. They eat animals, insects and snails. They are friendly to each other and never attack(攻击)people. Wolves are in danger, too. They are losing their living areas because people cut down forests. Soon they will have no home or food.

Have you ever visited the Forbidden City? This year is its 600th birthday. It is the world's largest palace and has over 17 million visitors every year. But if we traveled back to the past, we probably wouldn't be allowed inside.
In the past, all buildings in Beijing were low except the Forbidden City. From outside, ordinary(普通的)people could only imagine what it looked like inside.
The Forbidden City takes up 720, 000 square meters in the heart of Beijing. It was built from 1406 to 1420 by the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty, the Yongle Emperor. Afer that, it was the living and working place of 14 emperors of the Ming Dynasty and 10 emperors of the Qing Dynasty.
During those times, the Forbidden City was where the country's supreme power(最高权力)could be found. Emperors were born, lived, fought and died there. It saw the highs and lows of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and it plays a very important part in Chinese history.
The cultural relics(遗物)and documents(文件)in the palace show how the royal families lived. They are still used today for historical research, as well as inspiration for literature(文学)and entertainment(娱乐).
In 1987, the Forbidden City was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. For world leaders who visit China, it has become a must-see. In 2017, when US President Donald Trump paid a state visit to China President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan welcomed Trump and his wife there.

My favorite book is the Little Prince written by the French writer Antoine. The book tells about how children see the world. It's so interesting that I can't help reading it over and over again.
The prince is kind and innocent(天真无邪的), so he doesn't understand why people want to have power, wealth and praises so much. He flew to different planets to find the answer, but finally he still had no idea. In fact, he also had his own problems. In the past, he fell in love with a red rose that was beautiful but vainglorious(自负的). Later, he left the rose because of her vanity(自负). On the earth, he made friends with a fox. They lived together for some time, but in the end he made up his mind to leave to find his rose. To his surprise, the rose was dead, and the planet was full of monkey bread trees. It's a pity that he lost his rose forever.
In my opinion, I think he should value the friendship with the fox, because, after all, the rose was dead. The friendship is important as well. The story is about friendship, love and humanity(人性). It's helpful for us students to think more about the world. So let's open it and take a great journey along with the little prince.
