Which is better, reading or listening to books?

Nowadays, listening to books is getting popular with more and more people. Some people think it's much better than reading a book. They hold that it is very easy to listen to a book at any time and place as long as you have a mobile phone. Also, you may protect your eyes against long time reading.

While others believe reading a book is much better for they can control their reading speed. When they need take notes, they can slow down.

To my mind, it makes no difference to listen to or read a book. It's developing habit of learning that really matters.
