   I’m writing to tell you about the great changes that have taken place in one corner of my residential district in/over the past two years.

 In the past, the corner was very dirty full of a variety of wastes such as broken bottles, old papers, plastic bags everywhere, especially, with a broken and deserted car in the center, so that few people came here. However, with great support from the government and hard work of many people, the corner is becoming more and more beautiful, with a large flowerbed surrounded by green trees and nice flowers. Now birds come here to sing, children come here to play, and adults come here to enjoy their peaceful life. It has taken on a new look.

   I really like my residential district now!
