One day I happened to find chat room on QQ,where people were chatting with English.I tried to chat with some of them.To my surprise,I find that the spoken English of some junior students was better than me.I asked them for advices and they told me to practice more on QQ.But every day after school I would spend one hour practice my spoken English on QQ.Day after day I learned much useful words and expressions. As time going by,I found that I could even communicate with some college students free.
Why Is Exercise Cool?
Exercise strengthens Muscles
Did you ever do a push-up or swing across the monkey bars at the playground? 1. By using your muscles to do powerful things, you can make them stronger. For older teens and adults, this kind of workout can make muscles bigger, too.
2.
Can you touch your toes easily without yelling ouch? Most kids are pretty flexible, which means that they can bend and stretch their bodies without much trouble. Being flexible is having “full range of motion” , which means you can move your arms and legs freely without feeling tightness or pain.
Exercise Keeps the Balance
3. Your body needs a certain amount of calories every day just to function, breathe, walk around, and do all the basic stuff. 4. If you’re not very active, your body won’t need as many calories. Whatever your calorie need is, if you eat enough to meet that need, your body weight will stay about the same. If you eat more calories than your body needs, it may be stored as extra fat.
Exercise Makes You Feel Good
It feels good to have a strong, flexible body that can do all the activities you enjoy---like running, jumping, and playing with your friends. It’s also fun to be good at something, like scoring a basket, hitting a home run, or perfecting a dive.
But you may not know that exercising can actually put you in a better mood. 5. It’s just another reason why exercise is cool!
A.So you want to do some aerobic(有氧的) exercise right now?
B.Food gives your body fuel in the form of calories, which are a kind of energy.
C.When you exercise, your brain releases a chemical, which may make you feel happier.
D.Those are exercises that can build strength.
E. Exercise Makes You Flexible
F. Exercise Makes Your Heart Happy
G. But if you’re active, your body needs an extra measure of calories or energy.
Confucius (551BC~479BC), a Chinese philosopher, one of the most influential men in the history of China. Confucius was born in a noble family in the state of Lu. However, his parents were poor. His father died when Confucius was only three years old. In 527 BC he began his life as a teacher, usually traveling about and teaching the followers that were around him. Confucius worked as an official of the state of Lu. However,he soon left office to travel and teach. In 484 BC he returned to Lu,where he lived until his death.
Living in the turbulent(动荡的)period,Confucius believed that people must go back to the principles of the ancient wise men. He therefore lectured to his pupils on the classics and taught them how to behave properly in society. Confucius did not write down the principles of his philosophy. The Analects (《论语》),a work written by some of his followers,is considered the most faithful source of information about his life and teachings.
The teachings of Confucius were practical and moral, rather than religious. He said that man's behavior should be based on five virtues:kindness, uprightness(义),decorum(礼),wisdom and faithfulness(信).He asked everyone to fulfill their duties carefully toward the state. In the centuries after his death, his teachings, known as Confucianism, had a more powerful influence on the Chinese nation.
