Put simply, the existence of mirror neurons suggests that every time we see someone else do something, our brains copy it, whether or not we actually perform the same action. Research into mirror neurons seems to provide us with ever more information concerning how humans behave and communicate. Electronic book publishing has many of the same risks and opportunities as electronic music publishing. By delivering text direct to the user’s computer screen, the e-book could cut down costs, and allow creators to deal directly with their audience, bypassing (绕过) traditional publishers and readers. It would have been a success story if Fullerton High School senior Fernando Rojas, the son of Mexican immigrants whose schooling stopped in the eighth grade, was accepted to college. But the 17-year-o1d achieved a surprising clean sweep—he was accepted to every Ivy League school.
