Dear Tim,

I’m so excited and happy to hear that you’re coming to China. Since your trip is scheduled for the middle of July, time is not problem for me. That’s because I would be having my summer holiday at that time.

I’ve been very busy recent. I’ve been prepared for the coming entrance exam, that is vital for me and my future life. Last week, I attended an English speech intending for high school students all over the province and I have won the first prize. However, I’ve always dreamt of having the opportunity to travel in English-speaking countries like yours to practice and improve our English, as well make friends with people from other countries.

I am looking forward to seeing you.

Yours,

Li Hua

1.not→no 2.would→will 3.recent→ recently 4.prepared→preparing 5.that→which 6.intending→intended 7.won前面的have去掉 8.the→ an 9.our →my 10.well后加as 【解析】 试题分析:通过改错的短文,考查学生对固定搭配,动词时态和语态,名词的单复数问题等。 1.名词时需用冠词,所以需将not改为no,no problem意为“没问题”。 2. 考查时态。这里时态为一般现在时,所以需将would改为will。 3. 考查副词。这里需用副词作状语修饰整个句子,所以需将形容词recent改为副词。 4. 考查时态。该句为现在完成进行时,其结构为have/has been doing sth,所以需将prepared改为preparing。 5.先行词是exam,故需改为which。 6. 考查过去分词。be intended for为…… as well as“并且,和”,后面跟句子。 考点:语篇理解以及语法知识。

Just ate chicken feet for lunch. These were the words I wrote on my blog yesterday. By the next day there were hundreds of comments from my friends. They ranged from OH MY GOD! That is so disgusting! to “What were they like?” to Why cant you eat sandwiches like everyone else?

To Chinese people, chicken feet are a normal snack. To my friends in Britain, the thought of eating a chickens foot is——well, weird (古怪的). As weird, in fact, as eating a bullfrog, scorpion(蝎子), snake, or turtle.

But if there are two things I love more than anything else in life, they are: trying new things and food.

I arrived in Beijing five months ago. Since then, I’ve searched for the weirdest foods so I can try them, then treat my friends to some virtual(虚拟的)eating on my blog.

One weekend, I went to Wangfujing, Beijings snack street. The trip gave me tons of blog material.

“I chose a stick with three live, wriggling(扭动的) scorpions on it, I wrote. And it was pretty good. The scorpion was warm and crispy. The legs did have a tendency to get stuck between one’s teeth, however. Whats more, I am sure scorpion number two stung me with its tail in revenge(报复).

Next came snake:A bit like a cross between fish and chicken, with a slightly rubbery texture and meaty taste.

Some people were actually angry when I ate turtle soup——especially when I posted pictures showing the poor little guys head staring sadly up at us from the bowl. “I am never speaking to you again, wrote one (former) friend.

Still, I will continue my culinary quest.

Next on my list is starfish, though I feel I should have some vegetables too——algae, maybe.

So what am I eating, tonight, you may ask. Pizza. Well, a girls gotta have a break sometimes.
