Putting a dinosaur skeleton(骨架)together is not easy. The skeletons are usually very incomplete. Many dinosaur fossils(化石) are discovered badly damaged. Bones are often found crashed (压碎) or bent by the great weight of the dirt and rock above. Sometimes parts from different creatures are mixed together. This just adds to the confusion.
Unfortunately, some scientists have not been careful enough in their descriptions of dinosaurs. They have told grand stories of how dinosaurs looked and behaved. All of these descriptions are based on guesswork – the imaginations of people who have never seen a living dinosaur. Some scientists have made complete pictures of dinosaurs based on just a single bone or tooth or leg. Such pictures are based on many guesses and very little facts. The scientists' ideas often turn out to be wrong when more facts are discovered.
Dinosaur fossils are not found with labels attached showing what the animals looked like. That is why no pictures of dinosaurs are exactly right. Every dinosaur painting is sure to contain at least some wrong information. No artist in the twentieth century ever saw the living, breathing animals -- complete with skin, flesh, and color.
For instance, imagine never having seen or heard of a peacock. One day you find the jumbled bones of it buffed in the ground. You try to put the bones together to form a skeleton. And then you try to draw a picture of what the animal looked like when it was alive. But bones cannot tell the whole story. Even if you are a very good artist, it would be a miracle if you drew a tree picture of a peacock just from the bones and your imagination.

The United States Department of Agriculture has a programme called Wildlife Services. Its job is to help protect agriculture and other resources from threats and damage by wildlife. Often that means helping farmers deal with unwelcome visitors. This organization has experts from different fields and it has set up thousands of inquiry agencies all over the country where farmers can explain their difficulty and get practical help.
One example from Wildlife Services of its work involved a farmer in Washington State, in the Pacific Northwest. Several years ago, thousands of Canada geese landed on his fields. The geese began to eat his carrot crop. Biologists from the programme suggested that the farmer use noise-making devices and other measures to scare the large birds away, These efforts apparently succeeded, which made the farmer quite happy.
Wildlife Services also has a livestock(牲畜)protection programme. The programme just offers suggestions to keep those unwelcome visitors away instead of killing them. Experts suggest providing secure shelter for chickens, sheep and other animals that could be attacked. They also suggest using lights above places where animals are kept. And they advise people who see coyotes around their property to chase them away by shouting, making loud noises or throwing rocks. For home gardeners. a two-metre fence might help keep out deer. To keep out rabbits, a wire fence has to be only about a half-metre high. It should extend fifteen centimetres underground to keep rabbits from digging under it. If snakes are a problem, remove dead trees and cut high grass to destroy their hiding places. And to protect livestock, consider using guard animals such as dogs and donkeys, which are very effective. Due to its effective work, ever since the Wildlife Services was started, it has been well received by farmers all over the States and neighbouring countries such as Canada and Mexico.

B.Wildlife Services involves some biologists in its group
C.the carrot crop was eaten up by the Canada geese
D.the farmers like to eat Canada geese very much
3.What is mainly discussed in the last paragraph?
A.Ways to protect livestock. B.Ways to deal with coyotes.
C.How to protect crops. D.How to find wildlife,

Working overtime has been common for employees in China’s internet sector for many years, but debate about the practice heated up recently after a blacklist of technology companies that push their staff to follow a “996” schedule went viral online.
The blacklist is said to have been compiled by current and former employees of technology companies. As of Monday, 84 Chinese companies were on the blacklist, which claims employees are forced to follow a “996” schedule, under which work begins at 9 am and finishes at 9 pm, six days a week.
“ If it’s ‘work more, pay more’ model, I’d be a lot more willing to follow the ‘996’ schedule. But the truth is, not every company is run that way. That’s why many people complain,” a software developer working in a gaming company based in Hangzhou, East China’s Zhejiang Province, told the Global Times on Wednesday.
The online complaints and discussions also come amid young people’s changing attitudes toward life and work, and rising rights protection awareness. With improved living standards, more young people have adopted a “work hard, play hard” lifestyle, compared with the older generations’ “work to live” mind-set. While working hard, they are calling for more holidays, and believe holidays are their rights.
“Bus we don’t know who we should resort to when it comes to all these holidays and payment issues, so we resort to the internet,” the developer said.
“Sometimes when projects come along. I work seven days a week, I sometimes even sleep at the office,” the developer said. “I’m a game lover and I like my job, but I think I’m underpaid and my work is not appreciated.”
Industry analysts noted that the hours required by the “996” model exceed the limits established in China’s Labor Contract Law. The culture of overtime is connected to the characteristics embedded in Chinese people - who are hard -working, diligent, and desirous of success. They are even willing to sacrifice some of their personal lives to achieve career success. This might be quite different and hard to be understood in European countries.
Beyond China, most people in other East Asian countries such as Japan and South Korea also suffer from working overtime due to similar cultural elements. Working overtime has become a global phenomenon, and labor unions around the world should play an active role in seeking more ways to better protect workers’ rights amid an industrial upgrading.
