Four reasons why you should move to a big city

Here are four reasons why you should move to a city at least once in your life.

Grow up fast-Nothing forces you to grow up fast quite like living in a big city. Even with so many people around, there will be moments when you feel so lonely. But you will get hard-earned success and satisfaction.3.. Your view of life becomes challenge-welcoming instead of fearful.
Opportunity - Everyone focuses on the competitive nature of big cities, but there are also opportunities that you never would have access to in a small town.4.. And when you have passion fueling you, your attitude to work will become untouchable.
Broaden your horizons-lf there are many foreigners in your town, it may be time to open yourself up to more languages, cultures, and food. And you ll be in a place with access to so many different ideas and values. 5.

B. When everyday tasks become challenging
C. More people, more professions, more businesses
D. It will expand your knowledge and understanding
E. Moving to a major city helps you achieve success rapidly
F. While moving to the next small town may not expand your worldview
G. You made it through with nothing but yourself, your voice, and your determination
The new garbage sorting regulation has taken effect in Shanghai starting July l. Many citizens are still confused about the classification of the four different types of trash. Thankfully, authorities have released an official guideline to clarify the new rules.
The guideline, published by the Shanghai Greenery and Public Sanitation Bureau, provides a rather clear definition on the four kinds of waste: recyclable waste, hazardous(有害的) waste, household food waste and residual(剩余的) waste.
Hazardous waste, as the name suggests, includes assorted poisonous materials like used batteries, lightbulbs, out-of-date medicines, paint and pesticides.
Household food waste-which is translated to “wet trash”in Chinese-refers to food Ieftovers, rotten food, pet food, fruit peels, remains of TCM herbs(中药) and flowers.
Paper, plastic, glass, metal and textiles(纺织品) are counted as recyclable waste.
The definition of residual waste is a little confusing. Anything that is not listed above belongs in this category.
As specific as the new guideline is, residents still have a hard time sorting trash correctly and are finding it challenging to memorize them all. For instance, both plastic bottles and bubble tea or coffee cups are plastic materials. However, the former falls to the category of recyclable waste and the latter belongs to residual waste. To save the hassle, some netizens have come up with their own ways to sort trash.
"We should do this from a pig's angle,"commented one netizen. "Those edible(可食用的) for pigs are household food waste. Those even pigs don't want to eat are residual waste. If a pig consumes something and dies of it, then something must be hazardous waste. Those which can be sold and the money we gain can be used to purchase pigs are recyclable waste. "The new regulation has gone into effect since July I. Those who do not sort their trash properly will be fined RMB200.

A story has been doing the rounds on the Internet about a supposed method used by the US military to help people fall asleep.
The information comes from a 1981 book called Relax and Win: Championship Performance, with the story being picked up by writer Sharon Ackman in July. In the book, readers are told how to relax, and also how to fall asleep within two minutes, something apparently employed by the US military.
"The US Navy Pre-Flight School developed a scientific method to fall asleep day or night, in any conditions, in under two minutes," wrote Ackman. "After six weeks of practice, 96 percent of pilots could fall asleep in two minutes or less. Even after drinking coffee, with machine gunfire being played in the background. "
So how do you do it? Well, the first step is to blank your mind. To do this, it's recommended that you relax all of the muscles in your face. Then, drop you shoulders and relax your arms. Breathe out and relax your chest, and then also relax your legs, all in that sequence.
For the next 10 seconds, you'll then want to clear your mind of everything. Either imagine you're lying in a pitch-black room on a comfy couch or, if you're struggling, saying the words "don' t think"over and over again can supposedly help.
And if you do all that, well, you should be asleep. Ackman said this was an especially useful technique for people in the military who were in dangerous situations, or those dealing with the horrors of war.
According to a recent study, getting between six and nine'hours sleep a night can help offset heart conditions, while other studies have shown the rather disastrous(灾难的) effects lack of sleep can have on the body. While we don't understand it completely, sleep is super useful.

The desire to sleep late can be almost too much to resist at weekends. This Saturday morning, though, there was something important enough to get me up early. Yawning widely, I got out of bed and put on some old jeans and a T-shirt. After combing the house for work gloves, my dad came up with a pair my mother used for gardening and took them along.
We hopped(跳) in the car and headed into Boston. Guided by my directions, Dad was somehow-able to get us to our destination: a row of two-story houses. They were in the process of being built, mostly by volunteers like us.
After grabbing a huge leather tool belt, I met the people I would be working with. Virginia, James and Wilbur were all more than twice my age but treated me like a peer(同龄人). We got to work nailing the frames of walls. By lunch break I had hit what seemed like every tough spot in the whole house, and pried(撬起) countless bent nails. The rest of the day went by quickly as I gained efficiency with my hammer. Soon it was time to pack up.
As l was leaving, a woman came into the house. She saw the progress we'd made upstairs and started looking around the rooms. Then I realized who the woman was-her family would be living in the house. As she walked through each room, I could see her planning where furniture would go.
Even though I had only been there one short day out of weeks of construction. I felt a great sense of accomplishment. When these houses finished, six families would have nice homes.
