Do you know how to play a game called “ Musical Chairs?” It is easy to play and most people like it. All that you need are some chairs, some people and some musical. You may use a piano or any other musical instrument, if someone can play it. You may use a recorder. You can use a radio as well.
Put the chairs in a row back to back. The chairs should be in twos. The game is easy. When the musical starts, the players walk round the chairs. Everyone goes in the same direction, of course, they should walk in time to the music. If the music is fast they should walk quickly. If the music is slow they should walk slowly.
The person playing music cannot see the people in the game. When the music stops, the players try to sit on the chairs. If a person cannot find a chair to sit on, he drops out (淘汰). Hello,
You know I felt very sad yesterday. As you know, I got up at 5:00 in the morning and went to meet my aunt at the bus station. I waited there for hours and I nearly lost my patience. Then I took her to the hospital and then went to the gas station. I queued up (排队) for move than one hour under the hot sun before my turn.
When I finally went back home at 1:30 p.m. to have my lunch, I found nothing was left to eat. Everything had been taken to the hospital. I was dying to hunger.
So, to share my bad feelings with you, I sent the first e-mail to you. Fortunately, you replied to me. After that I went out to have some coffee. When I decided to go home, I found my car tyre (轮胎) was flat (瘪了). I was blue, Mary.
After dinner, I took a bath and washed my hair before going to bed. Unfortunately the lights were cut off and I could not dry my hair. I fell asleep with wet hair. When I got up this morning, I found I caught a cold. My voice sounds bad now.
I never hoped my holidays to be like this. Now, it feels good to talk to you about my blue feelings. You can also share your sadness and happiness with me because I am a good listener.
Yours,
Mike

It was a cold rainy day and it was the day before Thanksgiving — the first one that my three children and I would be spending without their father, who passed away a year ago. Now the two children were ill with the flu. I hurried around, trying to look after each child. I found the children had no fruits. But what almost broke me down was that I only had $2.50 left –and this should last until the end of the month.
That is when I heard the phone ring. It was the secretary from our former church, and she told me that they had been thinking about us and had something to give us. I went to the church before lunch. The secretary met me and handed me two currency notes (现金券), each worth$20. I was so moved that I cried.
Then I drove to a supermarket for the children. The things cost me a little over $14.00, and I handed the note to the cashier (收银员). She took it and looked at it for a long time. I thought something might be wrong and told her that I was a single mother and how I got it. With tears in her eyes, the cashier said that she had prayed (祈祷) that morning to help others who were in need, and I gave her the chance. She added a turkey to my basket, and took out two $20 bills and paid for my things. Once again I was moved to tears.
