Healthy eating is not just what you eat, but how you eat. Here are some tips for you:

Eat with others whenever possible. Eating with other people has numerous benefits, especially for children. 1.  Eating in front of the TV or computer often leads to mindless overeating.

Take time to chew(咀爵) your food and enjoy mealtime. 2. We tend to rush through our meals, forgetting to enjoy the flavor and feel the taste of what is in our mouths.

3. Ask yourself if you are really hungry, or have a glass of water to see if you are thirsty instead of hungry. During the meal, stop eating before you feel full. It actually takes a few minutes for your brain to tell your body that it has had enough food, so eat slowly.

4. A healthy breakfast can jumpstart your metabolism(新陈代谢), and eating small, healthy meals throughout the day (rather than the standard three large meals) keeps your energy up and your metabolism going.

Avoid eating at night. 5. And then don’t eat for 12-14 hours until breakfast the next morning. Studies suggest that eating only when you’re most active and giving your digestive(消化的) system a long break each day may help to keep fit.

A. Drink plenty of water.

B. Try to have dinner earlier.

C. Be careful when eating out.

D. Eat your food slowly, tasting every bite.

E. Listen to your body.

F. It allows you to follow others’ healthy eating habits.

G. Eat breakfast, and eat smaller meals throughout the day.

It has become a daily routine(常规) for the students on bus No.7 in Arlington, Washington to wave to the “grandma in window”.

Every day for the past five years, you could find the old lady Louise Edlen sitting at her dining room table having breakfast as the kids were passing by. But one day in early October this year she was not found sitting in her usual place.

The kids didn’t see their old friend for a few days. They got worried. Finally, they learned that she had suffered a stroke(中风). “It was kind of heartbreaking to us because she was always there in the past five years,” seventh-grader Axtin Bandewerfhorst said.

But she was upset and was obviously still thinking about the 20 boys and girls who passed by her home every day. The day after the bus driver Carol Mitzelfeld brought a bouquet of flowers from the students to Edlen, the kids looked out of the window to find a sign reading “Thank you”.

“That really made me happy,” 10th-grader Cheyanne Holt said. “It shows how much we mean to her.”

So to welcome Edlen home from the hospital, they made her a sign of their own: a photo of the kids waving from inside the bus.

“Carol told us that a lot of times she even does not remember her daughter’s name, but she always remembers to wave to the kids on the bus,” Bandewerfhorst said. “That made me feel really special.”

Louise’s husband, Dave Elden, said, “The students’ daily move gives her something to look forward to every day.”

Elden has returned home, and is back to waving to the students every day.

I order most of my foods and other things online and the store delivers them for a very small fee. The fee is much less than what I used to spend traveling to a store and home and trying to get everything I bought up to my apartment. Most importantly, the goods are cheaper.

For the past couple of months, my receipt(收据) has included another receipt. That receipt can give some money off the price of gas at a local gas station. That is to say, with the receipt, you can pay less when you fill your car up with gas. Through this past weekend, I have collected 12 of these receipts. Each receipt can help to save 6 cents or 7 cents each liter if you buy up to 75 liters. This is pretty sweet.

I don’t have a car. So today I took all the receipts to my company and gave them to my co-workers. It was fun. We ended up talking about the kinds of cars they had and how much this could save them on a full-up. They even told me they could give me a ride to some place if I needed one.

I felt relieved that I was able to give them all away. The deadline on them is at the end of next month and I wanted to make sure they would all be used.

There are 13 happy people from this exchange – the 12 I gave receipts to, and me.

1.What does the author think of shopping online?

A.It saves much money. B.It wastes too much effort.
