On my first round-the-world trip in 2006 I planned everything out in advance. I knew where I was going staying for how long and how I would get there. And then half-way through I ditched the plan and went with the flowOver the yearshow I plan my travel has changed. Now I'm a last-minute planner and seldom travel with any plan.

Traveling without a plan gives you great flexibility (灵活性).Since nothing is booked far in advance you can turn to something different when you change your mind or something better comes along. I changed my plans to meet a friend on an island in Thailand and stayed for a month. I wouldn't have had that experience if I had kept to my planned schedule.

However most new travelers are the opposite-they overplan their trips.Their whole journey is scheduled. Two days here three days there.I understand why people do that. When time is short you want to see as much as possible. You don't want to waste a single second.

Actually it is better to slow down your pace.Spending more time in one place allows you to get a better feel for the rhythm of life You can visit at a more relaxed pace see more than just the attractions and open up your schedule to the happy accidents of travel.

When I first made my travel planI tried to include everything in it. Then I realized it was unrealistic and revised my plan.I came up with a list of one or two things I want to see each day and spaced everything out. It's an important lesson to learn. I think the best trip plan is to work out the general path you want to take book the first few nights of your trip and let your travels unfold from there. This way you are never locked into a certain place if your feelings change.

Teenagers have their own TV channels websites and magazines. So what about books

Last year one publisher Martins started publishing a series called Waves. We spoke to the director Julia Smith. She explained "Teenage fiction has been published since the 1970s but publishers have never been very successful in getting teenagers to buy and read books. Now they're realizing that teenagers are just older children but are not adults either. They are often not interested in adult fiction. For this series we are looking for new writers who write especially for teenagers.

Athene Gorr's novel was published in the series last year and is selling well. Its title is The Purple Ring. She says "The important thing is to encourage teenagers to pick up your book. I'm a new writer. Although I've got an unusual name which people might remember nobody knows it yet! But my book has a fantastic cover which makes people want to look inside. Then they realize what an excellent story it is!"

And what do teenagers themselves think about the series We talked to Sophie Clarke aged 15. She said "I've read a few books in the Waves series. They say they are for 14-19 year olds and I agree with that. We're not interested in the same things as people in their twenties and thirties. I like them and I think they look really good too. The only thing is that because bookshops put them in the children section lots of teenagers won't find them so they may not do very well. And it's a shame there's no such series as I think lots of teenagers especially boys might buy."

C.They are popular with teenage boys.

D.They are wrongly placed in the children section.

4.What does the author intend to do with the passage ______

A.To compare different series of teenage fiction.

B.To give information about a new series of books.

C.To encourage more writers to create fictions for teenagers.

D.To explain why teenage fiction is easier to write than adult fiction.

Finding time to do both homework and exercise is getting easier for students at a growing number of schools. Workout machines are appearing in many school libraries. The latest school to fix the Fit Desk Bike Desk is Troy University which now has a total of six in the libraries. Over the past three years the Bike Desks have also been fixed at four other universities.

The idea of pushing "active workplaces" is far from new. From standing offices to treadmill (跑步机)meetings companies have been exploring the benefits of getting employees up from their desks-benefits that include higher morale (士气)and improved work performance. And a recent study that focuses on younger children suggests a strong connection between physical activities and good grades.

Chris Shaffer who is director of library services at Troy University says he thought it would be worth experimenting with the machines. "The final goal is to make the library a welcoming place that our students want to visit" says Shaffer "If we can find a way to let our students study and become healthier at the same time then I am all for it. " He says the experiment is so successful so far that the university has ordered three additional Bike Desks.

Troy junior Niquette says the bikes have been in use every day he has visited the library. "Keeping a proper diet and exercise schedule during college is near impossible "he says "These offer a special way to study and I hope the university continues to add more." Senior Raven hasn't used the Bike Desks yet but says she wishes they'd been fixed sooner. "I remember being a junior and the gym is so crowded with the smell of sweat loud music and people moving around" Raven says "I think the machines are a great idea.     Shortness of breath has many different causes, and the treatment of it is specific for each cause. 1.There are, however, some following first aid steps you can use to treat it, at least until the ambulance arrives or you're able to get the victim to a hospital.

2. The more energy you spend, the more oxygen you use and the more short of breath you feel. Think about a good workout at the gym. Exercise hard enough and you will feel short of breath. The cure? Take a break.

Let the victim sit, stand or lie where’s the most comfortable. There're lots of myths about how some body positions supposedly provide more airflow. Coaches regularly tell players to hold their arms above their heads to maximize chest expansion. Nursing staff think the ''tripod position'' is the best position. 3.

Use oxygen. This is a special case used only for people with chronic(慢性的)lung problems. If the victim has oxygen available, this is what it's for. 4. The victim may have been told by his or her doctor that too much oxygen for too long might cause more problems. Make sure the victim that sudden increases in shortness of breath are the instances in which oxygen is needed most.

Treat the cause of shortness of breath. 5. Asthma(哮喘)patients, for example, often have multiple tools and drugs to fix sudden shortness of breath. Victims of lung infections may need to see a doctor and heart attack victims may need an ambulance.

A. Have the victim rest.

B. Take more exercise at the gym.

C. The victim should use his or her oxygen as directed by a doctor.

D. There're many causes of shortness of breath and many of them are treatable.

E. The victim can try to avoid making use of his or her oxygen whenever possible.

F. Every person is different, however, so let the victim decide what position feels most comfortable.

G. In many cases, the only way to treat shortness of breath is to call 911or take the victim to a doctor.
