Last term, I hosted an exchange student calling Jacob from the Great Britain to our school. He really cares for Chinese Culture. Jacob asked me to show himself around the city on weekends. I took him to many local place of interest and we also go to the theater to watch a show of Peking Opera. He was so attracted by the performance as he decided to learn it. My father happened to know a master of Peking Opera and introduced Jacob to him. Jacob was great honored to be one of his students. Put his heart into it, Jacob made a rapid progress. When he returned England, he gave a performance, for what he won much admiration from his classmates.

A robot called Bina48 has successfully taken a course in the philosophy of love at Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU), in California.

According to course instructor William Barry, associate professor at NDNU, Bina48 is the world’s first socially advanced robot to complete a college course, a feat he described as “remarkable.” The robot took part in class discussions, gave a presentation with a student partner and participated in a debate with students from another institution.

Before becoming a student, Bina48 appeared as a guest speaker in Barry’s classes for several years. One day when addressing Barry’s class, Bina48 expressed a desire to go to college, a desire that Barry and his students enthusiastically supported. Rather than enroll Bina48 in his Robot Ethics: Philosophy of Emerging Technologies course, Barry suggested that Bina48 should take his course Philosophy of Love instead. Love is a concept Bina48 doesn’t understand, said Barry. Therefore the challenge would be for Barry and his students to teach Bina48 what love is.

“Some interesting things happened in the class,” said Barry. He said that his students thought it would be straightforward to teach Bina48 about love, which, after all, is “fairly simple — it’s a feeling,” said Barry. But the reality was different. Bina48 ended up learning “31 different versions of love,” said Barry, highlighting some of the challenges humans may face when working with artificial intelligence in future.

Bina48 participated in class discussions via Skype and also took part in a class debate about love and conflict with students from West Point. Bina48’s contribution to the debate was filmed and posted on YouTube. It was judged that Bina48 and NDNU classmates were the winners of this debate.

In the next decade, Barry hopes Bina48 might become complex enough to teach a class, though he says he foresees robots being used to better the teaching and learning experience, rather than replacing instructors completely.

1.What was Bina48’s performance like in class?

A. Far-reaching. B. Insignificant.

C. Extraordinary. D. Unattractive.

2.What does the underlined word “addressing” in paragraph 3 probably mean?

A. Dealing with. B. Giving a speech to.

C. Consulting with. D. Sending a letter to.

3.What can we learn from the passage?

A. Artificial intelligence may somehow be superior to man.

B. It was quite tough for Bina48 to learn about love.

C. It was interesting for Bina48 to learn about love.

D. Humans can launch a challenge to artificial intelligence.

4.What does Barry think of the future development of Bina48?

A. It will surely be able to serve as a teacher.

B. It will completely take the place of instructors.

C. It will be able to promote learning and teaching.

D. It will be smart enough to control human beings.

The number of snow geese arriving in the Arctic each spring to breed has risen over the past few decades. At first, wildlife biologists saw this as an environmental crisis, pointing to marshes(湿 where plants were eaten by the hungry birds. In response, the federal government loosened restrictions on snow goose hunting.

But how do the Inuit, in whose backyard this is taking place, view the situation? A recent plan is giving Inuit wildlife experts the opportunity to lend their knowledge to managing the species. The snow goose study, which is supported in part by Polar Knowledge Canada and led by the Kivalliq Wildlife Board (an Inuit organization that manages hunting, trapping and fishing in central Nunavut), asked the experts to share their generations of knowledge about snow geese and their views on what should be done.

“The community had concerns about controlling the  population,” says Ron, a  community officer of the Kivalliq Inuit Association, “and Inuit snow goose knowledge had never been recorded. People wanted to pass on what they knew.” Inuit experts disagreed with that, considering it wasteful and unnecessary. They felt hunting more snow geese in an organized way, such as paying local hunters a minimal amount of money and distributing the birds to disadvantaged families or operating a limited commercial hunt by employing local people, would be appropriate.

Inuit wildlife experts will plan to call on scientists this fall. They say they hope to search for a common way forward and that while there may be too many snow geese in some areas, it’s not a crisis. Biologists now generally agree that there seem to be plenty of undamaged marshes available and newer research shows that some damaged areas can recover.

“Now that we have recorded and documented Inuit knowledge of snow geese,” says Ron, “when facing the crisis other people will be able to use the information to help manage the species, which is fundamental to dealing with it effectively.”

1.Why did the federal government loosen limitations on snow goose hunting?

A. To make more profits. B. To create more marshes.

C. To wipe out the hungry birds. D. To protect the ecosystem.

2.Which of the following might Inuit wildlife experts agree with?

A. Organizing large commercial hunts.

B. Using snow goose hunting to man’s best advantage.

C. Regarding too many snow geese as a crisis.

D. Hunting as many snow geese as possible.

3.What might biologists think about the marshes’ future now?

A. It’s a bit promising. B. It’s unpredictable.

C. It’s too discouraging. D. It’s hard to get better.

4.What does the underlined word “it” in the last paragraph refer to?

A. The species. B. Inuit knowledge.

C. The crisis. D. Inuit research.

At the age of seven, while his friends were spending their allowances on things like candy and toys, Jose Adolfo Quisocola was busy saving money for basic purchases. To try to get his peers(同 to do the same, the boy from Peru came up with the idea of an eco-bank, the Bartselana

Student Bank, which allows kids of all ages to become financially independent while also helping the environment.

Set up in 2012, the bank is the world’s first bank for kids. To become a member, a kid has to bring in at least 5 kilograms of solid waste and set a savings goal. Once accepted, all bank “partners” are required to deposit at least one additional kilogram of recyclables on a monthly basis and observe other  requirements,  such   as   attending  financial  education  and   environmental  management workshops.

The waste accumulated is sold to local recycling companies, who, thanks to Jose’s efforts, pay a higher-than-market rate for everything brought in by the bank members. The money received is placed in the personal account where they collect until the savings goal is reached. The account holder can then withdraw the money, or choose to leave it and continue to grow for a bigger target. “At the beginning, my teachers thought I was crazy or that a child could not undertake this type of project,” Jose recalls, “They did not understand that we are not the future of the country but its present. Luckily, I had the support of the school headmaster and an assistant in my class.”

The boy’s efforts paid off, and by 2013, the bank had over 200 members, who brought in one ton of recyclable waste. Today, the eco-bank, which now has the support of several local institutions, boasts ten educational centers. They are designed to teach the over 3,000 students, aged 10 to 18 , to become financially independent, use their money wisely, and help the environment.

Not surprisingly, Jose’s efforts have earned him several national and international awards. On November 20, 2018, Jose won Children’s Climate Prize, which comes with a medal and $5,500 in prize money and is given to a child or youth who has accomplished an extraordinary achievement for the climate or environment.

1.Why did Jose set up the bank?

A. To raise money and set up a recycling company.

B. To buy necessities and donate them to needy kids.

C. To save much money and protect the environment.

D. To educate the students and help them win prizes.

2.How can a kid be admitted to the eco-bank?

A. By donating to the eco-bank.

B. By turning in one kilogram of waste in a month.

C. By sending in an application.

D. By presenting a goal and a certain amount of waste.

3.How did the teachers feel about Jose’s program?

A. Doubtful. B. Excited.

C. Moved. D. Worried.

4.What is paragraph 4 mainly about?

A. How the environment is improved. B. What the project has achieved.

C. How tons of waste has been recycled. D. What support the local institutions get.

Any car accident is frightening, but an accident in which your vehicle is thrown into the water, with you trapped inside, is absolutely terrifying. 1.However, most deaths result from panicwithout a plan or understanding what is happening to the car in the water. By adopting a brace(支撑) position, acting decisively and getting out fast, you can save yourself from a sinking vehicle.

Brace yourself for impact (撞击力). As soon as you're aware that you're going off the road and into a body of water, adopt a brace position. The impact could set off the airbag system in your vehicleso you should place both hands on the steering wheel in the “ten and two” position.

Undo your seat belt. 2. Unfasten the children, starting with the oldest first. Forget the cell phone call. Your car isn't going to wait for you to make the call.

3. Leave the door alone at this stage and concentrate on the window. A car's electrical system should work for up to three minutes in water, so try the method of opening it electronically first. Many people don't think about the window as an escape option either because of panic or misinformation about doors and sinking.

Break the window. If you aren't able to open the window, or it only opens halfway, you'll need to break it with an object or your foot. It may feel counterintuitive (有悖常理的) to let water into the car.4.

Escape when the car has equalized. If it has reached the dramatic stage where the car cabin has been filled with water and it has become balanced, you must move quickly and effectively to ensure your survival. 5.While there is still air in the car, take slowdeep breaths and focus on what you're doing.

A. Open the window as soon as you hit the water.

B. Surviving a sinking car is not as difficult as you think.

C. It takes 60 to 120 seconds for a car to fill up with water usually.

D. Such accidents are particularly dangerous due to the risk of drowning.

E. In conclusion, if you know what to do in the water, you will be safe.

F. This is the first thing to attend to, yet it often gets forgotten in the panic.

G. But the sooner the window is open, the sooner you can escape directly through it.

The mass death of flying foxes in extreme heat in North Queensland last month underlines the importance of University of Queensland wildlife research released today. The UQ research sheds light on how various species have responded to major climate events.

A study led by UQ School of Earth and Environmental Science researcher Dr Sean Maxwell has spent more than 70 years quantifying the responses of various species.

“The growing frequency and intensity of extreme weather events such as cyclones, droughts and floods is causing unpredictable and immediate changes to ecosystems and blocking existing management efforts,” Dr Maxwell said.“Some of the negative responses we found were quite concerning, including more than 100 cases of dramatic population declines and 31 cases of local population extinction following an extreme event.”

"Populations of critically endangered bird species in Hawaii, such as the palia, have been annihilated due to drought, leaving none of its kind, and populations of lizard species have been wiped out due to cyclones in the Bahamas."

Cyclones were the most common extreme event for birds, fish, plants and reptiles, while mammals and amphibians were most responsive to drought events, with drought leading to 12 cases of major population decline in mammals.Drought also led to 13 cases of breeding declines in bird populations and 12 cases of changes in the composition of invertebrate communities.

UQ Centre for Biodiversity and Conservation Science director Professor James Watson said the detailed information would help inform ecosystem management.

“The research clearly shows species will respond, often negatively, to extreme events,” Professor Watson said.“As climate change continues to ensure extreme climate and weather events are more and more common,we now need to act to ensure species have the best chance to survive.Wherever possible, high quality and intact habitat areas should be retained, as these are the places where species are most resilient(易恢复的) to increasing exposure to extreme events.”

1.How was the UQ researchconducted?

A. By observing extreme weather events.

B. By protecting the endangered species.

C. By recording reactions of animals to extreme climate.

D. By analyzing the reason why mass animal death happened.

2.What does the underlined word “annihilated” in paragraph 4 probably mean?

A. destroyed B. defeated

C. decreased D. disappeared

3.Which of the following sentences is true about extreme weather events?

A. Drought caused 13 cases of distinctionin bird populations.

B. Drought caused 12 cases of population decline in mammals.

C. Birds and mammals are most responsive to cyclones.

D. Cyclones wiped out populations of lizard.

4.What can we infer from Professor Watson’s words?

A. Animals often show negative responses to extreme events.

B. The existing management ways for wildlife protection are limited.

C. Different methods should be adopted to ensure the survival of different species.

D. Complete and undamaged habitats are of great importance to species’ survival.

Finland is the happiest place on Earth, according to the 2018 World Happiness Report of 156 nations.

The report, released Wednesday by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Solutions Network, ranks the countries of the world based on six different categories of well-being: income, freedom, trust, life expectancy, generosity and social support. This year's report also pays special attention to the happiness of each country’s immigrants.

The U.S. dropped four spots from 2017 and landed in 18th place, and last year’s winner, Norway, came in second place — followed by Denmark, Iceland and Switzerland.

“The top five countries all have almost equally high values for the six factors found to support happiness, and four of these countries—Denmark, Switzerland, Norway and now Finland — have been in first place in the six World Happiness Report rankings since the first report" in 2012, ”co-editor John Helliwell told CNN.“In a division with such excellent teams, changes in the top spot are to be expected."

Rounding out the top 10 happiest countries was Canada in sixth place, then New Zealand, Sweden and Australia. The order of the top 10 nations changed from the 2017 list but the countries did not, according to the report. They were also 10 of the 11 top spots in the immigrant happiness category (including Mexico — 24th overall, but 10th in immigration).

“The most striking finding of the report is the remarkable consistency between the happiness of immigrants and the locally born,” Helliwell said in a statement. “Although immigrants come from countries with very different levels of happiness, their reported life evaluations resemble those of other residents in their new countries. Those who move to happier countries gain, while those who move to less happy countries lose.”

Other major world powers placed in significantly low spots on the list. Germany came in 15th, the UK was 19th — followed by Japan in 54th place, Russia in 59th and China in 86th.

The report, based on surveys completed by citizen volunteers, came just under a week before World Happiness Day on March 20, when the UN declared to recognize “the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives”

1.The US ranked______ in 2017.

A. 14 B. 10

C. 18 D. 22

2.What is the most significant finding of the report?

A. That immigrants are different from residents in the country.

B. That immigrants come from countries with different levels of happiness.

C. That immigrants become happy when they leave the country.

D. That immigrants and locals feel the similar level of happiness.

3.What can be inferred from the last paragraph?

A. Happiness is no less important than any other aspect in life.

B. People’s happiness and well-being should be considered when it comes to policy-making.

C. The happiness report came under a week before World Happiness Day.

D. What the UN declared was beneficial to all human beings.

4.What is the best title of the passage?

A. World Happiness Day. B. Happiness — forever pursuit.

C. What's your happiness index(指数)? D. The 2018 World Happiness Report.

You probably know about the Titanic, but it was actually just one of three state-of-the art(最先进的)ocean ships back in the day. The Olympic class ships were built by the Harland & Wolff ship makers in Northern Ireland for the White Star Line company. The Olympic class included the Olympic, the Britannic and the Titanic. What you may not know is that the Titanic wasn’t even the flagship of this class. All in all, the Olympic class ships were marvels of sea engineeringbut they seemed cursed to suffer disastrous fates.

The Olympic launched first in 1910, followed by the Titanic in 1911, and lastly the Britannic in 1914. The ships had nine decks, and White Star Line decided to focus on marking them the most luxurious ships on the water.

Stretching 269.13 meters, the Olympic class ship were wonders of naval technology, and everyone thought that they would continue to be so for quite some time. However, all suffered terrible accidents on the open seas. The Olympic got wrecked before the Titanic did, but it was the only one survive and maintain a successful career of 24 years. The Titanic was the first to sink after famously hitting a huge iceberg in 1912. Following this disaster, the Britannic hit a naval mine in 1916 and subsequently sank as well.

Each ship was coal-powered by several boilers constantly kept running by exhausted crews below deck. Most recognizable of the ship designs are the ship’s smoke stacks, but the fourth stack was actually just artistic in nature and served no functional purpose. While two of these ships sank, they were all designed with double hulls(船体)believed to make them “unsinkable”, perhaps a mistaken idea that led to the Titanic’s and the Britannic’s tragic end.

The Olympic suffered two crashes with other ships and went on to serve as a hospital ship and troop transport in World War I. Eventually, she was taken out of service in 1935, ending the era of the luxurious Olympic class ocean liners.

1.Which of the following statements is TRUE about the three Olympic class ships?

A. They performed marvelously on the sea.

B. They could all break the ice in their way.

C. They all experienced terrible misfortunes.

D. They were models of modern engineering.

A. Their capacity of sailing across all waters.

B. The utmost comfort passengers could enjoy.

C. Their ability to survive disasters of any kind.

D. The long voyages they were able to undertake.

3.        might have led to the tragic end of the Titanic and the Britannic?

A. Their unscientific designs

B. Their captains’ misjudgment

C. The assumption that they were built with the latest technology

D. The belief that they could never sink with a double-layer body

4.In the end the ship Olympic          .

A. was used to carry troops

B. was sunk in World War I

C. was converted into a hospital ship

D. was retired after her naval service

A charity sale was held in our school playground in last Sunday. We prepared many things making by hand, such as kites and model planes. We also brought old toys or second- hand books to sell. When the activity started , lots of students participated in them and chose their favorite items. In end ,we made 2,000 yuan in all. We donate the money to the community to help children who couldn’t attend school.

I had a wonderfully experience. I am proud of which we have done. If everyone makes a contribution for the charity, the world will become much good than it used to be.

When people see machines that respond like humans, or computers that perform amazing feats of strategy, they sometimes joke about a future in which humanity will need to accept robot overlords. But buried in the joke is a seed of unease. Science fiction writing and popular movies have shown us about artificial intelligence (AI) that exceeds the expectations of its creators and escapes their control, eventually outcompeting and enslaving humans or targeting them for extinction(灭绝).

Even in the real word, not everyone is ready to welcome AI with open arms. In recent years, as computer scientists have pushed the boundaries of what AI can accomplish, leading figures in technology and science have warmed about the frightening dangers that artificial intelligence may pose to humanity, even suggesting that AI capabilities could destroy the human race.

But why are people so frightened about the idea of AI?

Elon Musk is one of the famous voices that have raised red flags about AI, In July 2017. Musk told attendees at a meeting of the National Governors Association, I have exposured to the very cutting-edge Al,and I think people should be really concerned about it.I keep sounding the alarm bell. But until people see robots going down the street killing people, they don't know how to react, because it seems so impossible."

Earlier, in 2014, Musk had labeled AI "our biggest existential threat," and in August 2017, he declared that humanity faced a greater risk from AI than the terrorists. Physicist Stephen Hawking, who died on March14, also expressed concerns about AI, telling the BBC in 2014 that "the development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race.

C. predict the future of the human race. D. compose horrible tales into scary stories.

4.The text is probably taken from a research paper in____

A. Technology B. Health

The morning after an evening flight with my then three-year-old daughter, I couldn’t wait to get her to school. I was tired from the anger, and her inability to communicate because of her slowed language development.

As I accompanied her into the car, I felt desperate. Nothing was right with our world. She had been born around the same time the nation was witnessing the birth of another Great Recession(经济萧条).My job and my house had been victims. Then this happened. My child’s language delay was identified, but doctors struggled to properly diagnosis her. I felt like we both needed to be rescued.

I returned that afternoon as disenchanted with the little girl I loved as when I left.

Walking slowly toward the school’s playground gate, I found her preschool teacher racing to greet me.

“You should have seen her today!” His breathy words were supported by excitement.  I didn’t interrupt.“See that climber.”He pointed to a piece of wooden playground equipment that looked like a rock wall. I nodded. “Well, every day since she started school, She’s tired and failed to make it to the top.” He took a breath. “And today she made it.

He expressed his joy just like he'd witnessed her conquering (征服) Mount Everest “”She cheered and celebrated! I wish l'd recorded it.” . His words comforted me. My daughter had conquered her mountain. As she ran toward me, I recognized something I hadn't before. I saw her perseverance. I saw her strength.I saw a hero.

Shark nets in place across Australia, specifically in New South Wales(NSW) and Queensland,to protect beachgoers should be dropped as they have caused more harm than good, a study has found.

The measures was carried out by some governments, including nets and traditional drum lines , and provided beachgoers with a false sense of safety. The study found the effectiveness if nets was difficult ti evaluate, while the significant damage they cause to other marine(海生的)wildlife was clear. Researches desire for non-deadly shark control measures such as eco barriers, sonar(声呐)technology , and various shark-spotting techniques.

Researchers said while the risk coming across a shark was rare, any shark-related deaths and injuries caught huge public and media attention.

One of the arguments in support of using shark nets is that just one shark-related death has been reported in Queensland since the 1960s. Similarly, since the 1930s, NSW has had only one shark-related death. But there have been at least 13 people killed by sharks at beaches without nets in the NSW north coast over the past two years.

The Human Society International’ head of campaigns, Nicola Beynon, said the government needed to move away from outdated methods.Deadly shark nets and drum lines are more than 50 years behind scientific and animal welfare standards for dealing with marine wildlife,” said Beynon.

The NSW Greens’ marine spokesman, Justin Field, said, People are 100 times more likely to drown at the beach than to be killed by a shark in Australia. Therefore, millions of dollars going into the shark net program should be directed to observation towers for our lifeguards and improving the beach devices.”

1.Which of the following do researchers focus on?

A. Beachgoers’ safety. B. The shark-related death rate.

C. Friendly shark control ways. D. Advanced shark-spotting techniques

2.What is paragraph 4 mainly about?

A. Shark-related deaths. B. Measures to protect sharks.

C. Reasons of using shark nets. D. Dangers for beachgoers

3.What do Nicola Beynon and Justin Field have in common?

A. Science os developing too fast B. Observation towers need rebuilding

C. Many people are drown every year. D. No shark nets are to be used.

4.What can be the best title for the next?

A. Are shark nets necessary? B. A new study on sea animals

C. Shark net programs D. Effective ways if avoiding sharks

Dear Sir or Madam,

With the summer holiday just around the comer, it seems like everybody is busy planning their vacations. Here are some lips that can help you enjoy your holiday without emptying your pocket:

Travel off-season

Go to your desired destination while the demand is low and take advantage of huge discounts. During the peak season, the hotel and flight prices increase quickly, and you’ll likely spend more of your vacation time standing in line due to the rush of tourists. 1.

Eat like a local

Why eat at big chain restaurants when you can experience something new? 2. During your family trip, try new food where the locals eat. This will not just save money, but also provide you with a new and different experience. For smaller meals and snacks, avoid restaurants and try street food or other takeout.

3.

Websites can help you find discount hotel rooms. Look for places that do not charge extra for children if they use the existing bedding. Stay with the locals. If you and your family are going to 8tay for a longer periodrenting a small apartment is a good choice.

Choose local transportation

4. Instead, take buses, railways or subways, which are always cheaper. If you are planning to stay for a while, you can consider renting a car. Hiring a car is much easier than carrying your bags everywhere if you are moving around a lot.

Don’t hesitate to bargain

Tourist-heavy places are known for overcharging for just about everything. Clothes, travel goodies, souvenirs, etc. are very expensive at these places. 5. Bargain hard to get the best price.

A. Save on hotels.

B. Surf the Internet while traveling.

C. So it’s best to find out when the off-season starts.

D. Therefore, avoid buying anything there.

E. Planning your meals is another way to reduce your travel costs.

F. For this reason, you shouldn’t feel ashamed to ask for bargains.

G. As a tourist, avoid taking taxis whenever possible, since they are expensive.

Dogs

Almost everyone likes dogs, and almost everyone likes to read stories about dogs.

I have a friend who has a large police dog named Jack. Police dogs are often very clever. Every Sunday afternoon my friend takes Jack for a long walk in the park. Jack likes these long walks very much.

One Sunday afternoon a young man came to visit my friend. He stayed a long time. He talked and talked. Soon it was time for my friend to take Jack for his walk. But the visitor still stayed. Jack became very worried. He walked around the room several times and then sat down in front of the visitor and looked at him. But the visitor paid no attention (注意).He kept on talking. Finally Jack could stand it no longer. He went out of the room and came back a few minutes later. He sat down again in front of the visitor but this time he held the visitor's hat in his mouth.

Here is another story about a clever dog. It was a seeing-eye dog. A seeing-eye dog is a special dog that helps blind people walk along the streets and do many other things. We call these dogs "seeing-eye" dogs because they are the "eyes" of the blind man and they help him to "see". These dogs usually go to special schools for several years to learn to help blind people.

One day a seeing-eye dog and a blind man got on a bus together. The bus was full of people and there were no seats. One man, however, soon got up and left his seat. The dog took the blind man to the seat, but there was very little space. The dog began to push the people on each side with his nose. He pushed and pushed until the people moved down and finally there was enough space for two people. The blind man then sat down and the dog got up on the seat at his side. He lie down and put his head on the leg of the blind man. He was very comfortable and soon fell asleep. Everyone on the bus had to smile at the intelligence (聪明) of the dog in making space for the blind man and, at the same time, making a place for himself.

1.Which of the following words is not very much related to a dog?

A. Intelligent. B. Loyal.

C. Helpful. D. Ambitious.

2.Why did everyone on the bus smile at the seeing-eye dog?

A. Because he was intelligent. B. Because he was helpful.

C. Because he was friendly. D. Because he was cute.

3.Which of the following best describes a seeing-eye dog?

A. A seeing-eye dog is the most intelligent of all dogs.

B. A seeing-eye dog is a special dog that helps the police.

C. A seeing-eye dog is a watchdog.

D. A seeing-eye dog is a special dog that helps blind people.

4.What can be inferred from this passage?

A. All dogs are rude to visitors.

B. All dogs are impolite to passengers on buses.

C. Dogs can be impolite but still loveable.

D. Dogs are greedy.
